What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Assembler/Rigging Technician position at Forza X1?
Forza X1 designs and builds all electric fiberglass boats. We are seeking to find Boat Assemblers/Rigging Technicians. Our boats are built tough and our fit and finish is first class. Position Overview
- Must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to perform a full range of rigging duties, considering factors such as size, shape, and location of the objects.
- Plan, lay out, assemble, repair, and install complex weight handling gear and various standing and running rigging.
- Perform work from information received from technical work documents, blueprints, specifications, written and/or oral instructions.
- The Assembly position involves installing pumps, wiring harness, thru hulls, tanks, rails in hull.
- Candidate should have some tools and have a working knowledge of basic carpentry, mechanical, plumbing and electric.
Physical Requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements may include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits and other forms of PPE.
- Ability to work a 10 hour shift standing, bending, reaching. As well as, climbing on and through stairs, molds, and staging throughout the duration of your shift.
- Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, noisy environment.
- Have flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Must follow all safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling standards and Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve.
- Must demonstrate record of dependability and reliability with prior work or professional experience.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work well with teams professional.
- Understand and follow verbal and written directions.
- Ability to use hand, battery, and pneumatic tools.
- Skills in forklift, overhead hoist, computer, fiberglass and/or gel-coat applications preferred.
