What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Video Specialist position at Fossil?
Fossil Group is searching for an Associate Video Specialist who will participate in all aspects of pre-production, production and postproduction on video shoots. The Associate Video Specialist will have an opportunity to shoot footage and have a role in creative concepts and editing. He or she will transport, set up, and operate equipment and assist with staging, set preparation, and lighting. The Associate Video Specialist will work closely with the Creative Directors, Art Directors, Video Art Director, Videographers and brand teams to execute the concept through to completion. The videos produced will range from social media content, livestreams, product focused storytelling and feature-oriented brand stories.
Responsibilities include:
- Post Production - Editing Video with Adobe Premiere, color correction and grading, motion graphics, visual fx, and video compositing with Adobe Aftereffects
- Pre-production - Storyboarding, concepting, research, testing, collaborating with Marketing, Brand, and Voice Teams
- Production - Lighting sets, directing, camera operation, working closely with Stylist, Art Directors, and Producers
- Maintain video equipment and research new technical advances
- Partner with Video Art Director, Producer, Traffic Coordinator, and Director of Creative Services to influence workflow and delegation of decisions as needed
- Create workflow standard and archival of all video assets - back up all footage and final output
- Record voice overs to be used on brand videos
- Research music to be used on videos
- Converting videos shot in-house as well as videos that were outsourced to the proper format for different marketing channels
- Higher knowledge of camera operations, lighting sets, and editing skills beyond that of a multimedia designer
