ESTATE PLANNING_TRANSACTIONAL PARALEGAL

Foulston is recruiting for a team member to join our Kansas City location as a Paralegal. This position will work directly with the attorneys in the Transactional practice group to support the business needs of our clients in the areas of general business, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, antitrust, and more. This is a full time, benefit eligible position.
Responsibilities supporting the estate planning practice:
- Drafting estate planning and trust documents
- Trust Funding
- Trust Administration
- Professional and friendly communication with clients and other parties
- Other duties as assigned to support the attorneys, staff, and our clients in fulfillment of the Firm’s mission.
Responsibilities supporting the transactional practice:
- Preparation of documents required to form, amend, withdraw, merge, and dissolve limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships
- Assisting with commercial real estate transactions and closings
- Assisting with preparation of business contracts and other legal documents
- Preparing SEC and UCC filings
- Drafting and maintaining corporate minutes
- Performing records and legal research
- Other duties as assigned to support the attorneys in fulfillment of the Firm’s mission
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or AA in Legal Studies (or equivalent experience)
- Experience as an estate planning, business, real estate, or corporate paralegal
- The ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail in all your work
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency learning and navigating both existing and new software and technologies
- Efficient time management skills
