Do you have financial industry experience, primarily in a call center or collections role? If so, this position may be the right fit for you! The ideal candidate will comfortable and efficient in answering incoming and making outbound calls regarding members' negative share account status. We are looking for an individual who is punctual, courteous, able to follow procedures with a high attention to detail and has a desire to learn. Individual must be able to work on-site at our back office operations center in Rock Hill, SC. Remote work is not available.
The Share Recovery Assistant will research, investigate, process, and track all uncollected returned checks and negative share accounts as well as perform account closures in accordance with the Founders non-sufficient funds (NSF) processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Review and work the negative queue as outlined by procedures on a daily basis.
2. Answer incoming and make outbound calls regarding the negative share account status while maintaining professionalism and adhering to Collections Policies.
3. Review and work daily payroll report for account offsets.
4. Review each account and perform all necessary steps to close the share account at designated time frame.
5. Submit negative share and return check losses for charge off as outlined in FFCU procedures.
6. Assist with preparing monthly reports pertaining to Share Recovery Department and distribute in a timely fashion.
7. Perform charge off transactions after the Board approval of the charge off shares.
8. Identify and immediately escalate an account with suspected fraud to the Fraud Department for an in-depth investigation of all details involving fraudulent checks.
9. Assist branch personnel as needed with check acceptance and processing.
10. Keep abreast of all functions performed by and all products and services offered by the Credit Union while maintaining a general knowledge of policies, procedures, and laws and regulations affecting the Credit Union operation.
11. Assist with the review of all checks submitted via Advanced Fraud Solutions (AFS).
12. Comply with Founders' policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
13. Assist with issuing member loss letters and perform account closures with charged off accounts.
14. All other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
The Share Recovery Assistant must have a high school education and must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products. A minimum of 1 year financial institution experience is required. Collections, Call Center, or Branch experience is preferred. Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills, as well as self-motivation, are required. Positive attitude is a must.
Candidate must be available Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
