The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the accounts receivable collection process to ensure timely payment of billings. This includes providing support to billing staff, processing re-bills, flipping billings between funding sources, investigating billing denials and errors, maintaining strong relationships with funders, managing ongoing communication with funders, and other projects as assigned. This position provides internal and external customer support, provides complete and timely documentation as required, and meets responsible work performance expectations established by the organization.
Responsibilities:
Education/Experience:
Minimum two year degree in accounting or related field plus two years of experience OR four year degree in accounting or related field OR equivalent education and experience. Experience with Medicaid billing in the state of Iowa is preferred.
