SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining a high level of vigilance while properly executing security duties on the assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of guests, employees, and the entire facility. Responsible for maintaining a high level of integrity and practicing, supporting, and promoting the exceptional service standards of Four Winds Casino Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities for the position. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal, other applicable requirements, and company specific policies, procedures, and practices.
- Patrols the property to identify and report potential security and safety hazards, ensuring the safety of guests, employees, and the facility.
- Assumes various positions at the Officer Level, including Dispatch and Outside Driver. Acts as a back-up to Security Leadership and assumes their duties when necessary.
- Trains new hires and is responsible for related paperwork.
- Attends mandated training, maintains licenses, and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepares detailed reports on incidents involving guests, employees, and the facility.
- Guards and ensures the safe transportation of monies and chips on the casino floor, assists in opening/closing gaming tables, and the slot drop process.
- Interacts with guests and employees in a positive, professional manner, ensuring maximum guest service and satisfaction. Works closely with Management to resolve guest complaints effectively.
- Maintains accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
- Represents the property in meetings with guests, employees, and witnesses to investigate security-related incidents. Testifies in court when subpoenaed.
- Maintains a series of keys and accesses locked areas as necessary.
- Coordinates with the Surveillance Department on security-related matters.
- Maintains knowledge of the facilities and special events to advise guests and employees.
- Operates property vehicles as directed.
- Monitors the EVOLV Weapon System and conducts suspicious bag and unusual item inspections.
- Verifies gaming badges and monitors for unauthorized access, including vendor/contractor access.
- Coordinates special events, crowd control, and emergency action plans.
- Detects suspicious behavior and threats, and inspects unusual items and improper acquisition of property. Enforces outside alcohol policies and verifies IDs for underage guests.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) or more years of experience in security or law enforcement or related field. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Some college preferred
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication skills required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word 2007 and Excel 2007. Excellent observation, interview, verbal, and writing skills required. Ability to pass a report writing assessment.
Must have completed the following Four Winds Offered Courses:
- Defensive Tactics
- Dealing with Difficult Guests
- Coffee Talk/Cut-Off
This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
