Essential Functions
- Be customer and service oriented. Ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
- Keep department manager/assistant manager/lead aware of concerns, issues, etc. warranting their attention, knowledge of, action and/or resolution in a timely manner.
- Effectively, efficiently and safely operate department equipment.
- Meet department productivity, policy, procedure, safety and quality requirements.
- Adhere to Company, local, state and federal health and civil code regulations relating to food handling/processing, weights/measurements related health regulations and sanitary procedures. This includes maintaining and documenting temperatures.
- Maintain product quality and freshness by dating products, restocking and rotating products.
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation functions in compliance to department and governmental health regulations.
- Effectively open and/or close the department.
- Ensure product and loads are put away in a timely manner and stored correctly based on law and Fox Bros. standards.
- Grind, cut, chip, stuff, tray, package and label meat products sold by Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by department manager/assistant manager/lead.

- Able to perform operations, practices and procedures within a grocery environment.

- Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
- Good customer relations’ skills.
- Be able to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
- Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices
Physical Requirements
Sausage Makers are expected to stand the majority of the day. An ability to user your hands and fine motor skills for the majority of the day is necessary. The ability to carry, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs. is a requirement for this position.
