What are the responsibilities and job description for the SSRS Report Developer position at Fox Rothschild LLP?
As a member of the Accounting Department, the SSRS Report Developer will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis to design custom SSRS reports to support Attorneys, Firm Leadership, and Administrative Staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create and modify reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Develop and maintain the Firm’s financial dashboard (built on SSRS).
- Develop, implement, and optimize Stored Procedures and Views to facilitate reporting.
- Create ETL packages using SSIS to load data from disparate data sources into the warehouse.
- Monitor SQL jobs, including the nightly data warehouse build.
- Analyze existing SQL queries and SSRS reports for performance improvements.
- Suggest new queries to optimize and improve performance of reports.
- Manage and maintain data sources outside of the core financial system to facilitate financial reporting.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years of related experience. Law firm experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Advanced experience and knowledge of SSRS and Microsoft SQL Server is required
- Experience with Power BI is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with the Elite 3E database is preferred, but not required
- Detail oriented with strong mathematical, analytical and computer skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels throughout the Firm is a must.
- Professional standards of tact, discretion, positive attitude, and appearance. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail; high level of accuracy a must.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
- Professional and courteous communication with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff are a must. Strong customer service orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
To be on-site in a Fox Rothschild LLP office, an individual must either be fully vaccinated or test weekly. If unvaccinated, a mask will not be required to be worn in the office unless required by local or state government.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
