What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Coordinator (Anticipated Vacancy 2024-2025 SY) position at Foxborough Public Schools?
. Oversee all Preschool classrooms including daily operations, in consultation with the Principal and the Director of Student Services.
· Provide support (problem solving, resources, daily challenges, behavioral support for students, etc.) to all preschool staff members, through visibility, availability, and flexibility
· Maintain preschool staff schedules.
· Schedule and plan for Open House, parent visits/observations, field trips, and programs for preschool.
· In collaboration with building secretary, coordinate the preschool lottery system for selecting peers to be enrolled in classrooms.
· Manage child find support.
· Foster communication and build partnerships between the community-based early childhood programs, daycare centers, and families
· Provide training, resources, and consultation to outside daycare providers to assist with students struggling in their programs.
· Schedule and attend all transition planning conferences (TPC) between Early Intervention/Families of children transitioning from EI prior to their 3rd birthday.
· Coordinate with Early Intervention Providers and related service providers to schedule and complete evaluations, observations, and write reports for children transitioning from Early Intervention prior to their 3rd birthday evaluations.
· Collaborate, draft goals, and write IEPs of new referrals/evaluations (EI transitions, Child Find (screening referrals).
· Schedule and Chair all initial/eligibility and re-evaluation meetings.
· Collaborate and Coordinate with the Director of Transportation Department to secure transportation for preschoolers riding the minibus.
· Collaborate and Coordinate with Director of Student Services to set up ESY programming including hiring of staff.
· Collaborate and Coordinate with Elementary Team Chairperson to support smooth transitions from preschool to kindergarten
· Collect data for Indicator 7 Progress Monitoring on all preschoolers receiving special education services per DESE and upload to the portal twice per year
