Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compares identifying information on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Enters data such as serial numbers, model numbers and quantities into mainframe and shipping systems or manually on required forms. Researches to reconcile discrepancies.
- Performs checkout procedures on returned meters.
- Responds to internal and external customer and dealer inquiries related to Shipping and Receiving on the telephone, and through fax or E-mail.
- Picks equipment, accessories, parts, literature and supplies for orders
- Assembles cartons and packs orders for secure shipment. Produces shipping documents including bill of lading and shipping orders.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage and labels per order requirements.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records shortages, verifies the quality and quantity of the order’s contents, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and other staff involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Delivers incoming packages to mailroom or specific departments.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Assists with inventory control duties including maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory records and damage claims.
- Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Moves inventory within the warehouse per organizational plan.
- Breaks down used cartons and maintains organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Stocking of shelves and rotation of inventory.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 or more years of work experience involving computer look-up/entry in a warehouse environment, forklift certification a plus.
Computer Skills:
Accurate and fast alpha-numeric keyboarding abilities, knowledge of E-Mail and Microsoft Applications, experience entering transactions and looking up information in a mainframe and warehousing system.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
