POSITION SUMMARY

A relocation clerk assists individuals or companies with the logistics of moving from one location to another.

Their responsibilities typically include coordinating and scheduling moving services, arranging transportation,

managing paperwork related to relocation, and providing support to clients throughout the moving process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Job analyses will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity. Essential and marginal (non-essential)

job functions are subject to modification. Nothing in this job analysis restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities

for this job.

1. Client Communication : Communicate with clients to understand their relocation needs and

preferences. Answer any questions they may have about the moving process and provide guidance on

available services.

2. Coordination : Coordinate with moving companies, transportation providers, and other service

providers to schedule relocation services according to clients' timelines and requirements.

3. Documentation : Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation related to relocation,

including contracts, agreements, inventory lists, and shipping documents.

4. Logistics Planning : Plan and organize logistics for the move, including packing, loading,

transportation, and unpacking. Ensure that all necessary resources and materials are available for the

move.

6. Problem Solving : Address any issues or challenges that arise during the relocation process, such as

scheduling conflicts, transportation delays, or damaged items. Work to find quick and effective solutions

to keep the move on track.

7. Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the moving process.

8. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing relocation services,

including health and safety standards, transportation regulations, and legal requirements.

9. Post-Move Support : Offer support to clients after the move is complete, such as assisting with

unpacking, arranging furniture, and addressing any issues that may arise in the new location.

10. Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to

enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of relocation services.

11. Other

a. Consistently and fairly enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures

b. Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies and procedures

c. Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.

d. Conduct displayed must be of a professional manner when communicating with employees, residents,

prospective residents, clients, vendors, and guests while representing FPI Management.

e. Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance

f. Responsible for meeting all training requirements for the position (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.).

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI’s Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Preferred experience in residential property management, retail, sales, or customer service
  • Preferred 1 year of Property Management Experience
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
