Job Overview: The Account Strategist role will independently create, plan, manage, and execute projects for assigned clients and company stakeholders. The Account Strategist is responsible for developing relationships with clients to acquire new business and network with existing customers to retain their business. The Account Strategist will work closely with the Digital Strategist and Sr. Brand Strategist to holistically oversee client Digital Marketing strategies. This is a client-facing role that makes decisions of significant authority under the supervision of the Director of Client Services.

Probationary Period: Upon initial hire, the Account Strategist is required to complete a probationary period that may last up to 6 months prior to capabilities like art approval, strategic direction, etc being fully granted. This probationary time frame may be lengthened or shortened at the discretion of the Director of Client Services.

Essential Expectations:

  • Maintain, and grow current client relationships. Obtain new clients and identify new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Develop client strategies for FPW clients in a manner that supports the client’s needs, in line with the scope/budget of the proposal, FPW’s standards, and best practices.
  • Utilize multiple digital marketing avenues including SEM, SEO, CTV, Programmatic, etc. in strategic marketing plans for clients.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Meet with clients and internal stakeholders to explain campaign strategies and solutions.
  • Engage in client development best practices – including consistent, clear, and timely communication with clients, relationship building, and establishing this position as an expert and thought partner.
  • Independently determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Prepare and present project proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Actively engage in sales activities put forth by the Leadership Team.
  • Establish project roadmaps and delegate tasks accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management team, internal creative teams, clients, and partners to complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with other project parameters.
  • Utilize existing and identify new software and tools to assist with the project management process.
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members according to Company Policy and ensure that projects are completed according to specifications.
  • Independently estimate the resources needed to accomplish objectives, both internal and external.
  • Independently prepare, implement, and manage campaign and project budgets.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders about (not limited to) strategy, adjustments, risks, and progress.
  • Elevate issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Actively identify client revenue growth opportunities and independently pursue the proposal and pitching of said opportunities.
  • Navigate and respond to requests from various internal and external stakeholders, addressing questions and concerns as they arise.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contributes to creative direction and thought-leading exercises, conducting trend analysis and consumer behavior studies within the account management team.
  • Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout projects.
  • Independently develop and execute marketing plans.
  • Create and interpret a variety of reports including campaign metrics and analytics.
  • Conduct, organize and analyze market research to ensure a deep understanding of assigned client(s) industry opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain client and vendor relationships.
  • Obtain new clients and grow existing client accounts.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Attention to Detail: must pay strong attention to detail in order to be able to keep information accurate and organized while utilizing skills and knowledge to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Business Acumen: must understand the basic functions of a business in order to accurately analyze and interpret client requests.
  • Computer Literacy: need to be able to use advanced accounting software and other computer-based tools to work effectively. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suites or related software.

Leadership Expectations

This position will not have any direct reports.

  • Successfully maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team while also maintaining a "player-coach" role; act as a mentor to foster career growth in the Account Management Team.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-departmental leadership to foster positive and productive internal relationships.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 45%, travel is required infrequently to travel to client work sites

Education and Experience Expectations:

  • At least three years of related marketing experience required, 5 preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include Marketing, Business, Communications, or Public Relations, is preferred.
  • Digital Marketing Experience including: Google Ads, CTV, Programmatic Advertising, CRM, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Work to be conducted primarily in office and at a client location, however some work may be conducted remotely via technology. This position requires work during the regular work week. This position will require some lifting (up to 20 lbs.) and long hours at a computer using a keyboard and mouse in addition to prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
