Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our finance team. The Controller plays a key role in financial management, providing strategic guidance and leadership to ensure the company's financial health and stability. This position’s primary responsibility is to establish policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to maximize the Company’s return on corporate assets.  The Controller is responsible for the supervision of the work, workflow, and personnel of the Accounting Department and, subsequently, for the accurate and timely recording and processing of collections and disbursements of cash from customers, employees, shareholders, vendors, financial institutions, and service providers.  The Controller develops annual budgets and periodic projections/forecasts to ensure the Company meets the financial goals. The Controller has a highly visible role and serves as a member of FMI’s Leadership Team. 


Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

- Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

- Manage relationships with banks and lenders, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with loan covenants.

- Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in financial operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.

- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular variance analysis to track performance against targets.

- Drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability and working capital management.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the accounting department.

- Decrease Working Capital Days each year.

- Company meets various financial goals each year.

- Identify & implement cost savings projects to meet goal each year.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.

- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

- Minimum of 5 years of financial leadership experience in manufacturing.

- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and management.

- Expert-level knowledge of Excel; experience with Power BI preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing ERP system. Infor/Syteline experience a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
