Set-Up and Start-Up Technician

If so, we have a great opportunity for you!  The Setup Technician is responsible for setting up and starting up production equipment lines with fillers, date coders, conveyors, cappers, torque machines, and other ancillary equipment to ensure we efficiently produce a quality product that meets our customer’s needs. Upon successful startup, lines are turned over to the production team.

What the Job Looks Like

• Performs setups and startup of production lines and turns over to the production team. 
• Troubleshoot setup/startup issues on the production line.
• Assist in identifying gaps in processes to help in the improvement of efficiencies.
• Assist mechanics with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, also coordinates with manager to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Effectively communicates between departments on the status of setups.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Cleans organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Hours of Work

Monday- Friday, 7:00 – 3:30 or 3:30-12:00
