Position Summary:
The Donor Data Specialist will serve the mission of Francis House in the Development Department. The Specialist will be responsible for processing incoming donations to Francis House; ensuring the donor software is up to date and that donations to Francis House are managed accurately and efficiently. The Specialist will partner with the finance administrator to reconcile income/giving with deposits. The Specialist will collaborate as part of the administrative team to provide excellent customer service to donors; will assist with processing credit card gifts; and will assist the administrative team with other related activities as needed.
Responsibilities:
Accept and enter donor contributions in donor software.
Maintain an updated donor database. Document the department’s donor interactions and inquiries.
Run and share data analysis reports; contribute to the best outcome of appeals, programs, events.
Produce tax receipts, donor summaries, donor background, account summaries, special correspondence and other documents upon request.
Ongoing communication and collaboration with Director of Development. Provides regular updates on initiatives, appeals, and programs. Brings a spirit of positive, team-centered collaboration to the administrative team of Francis House.
Education and Experience:
Experience supporting a nonprofit preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), superior phone manners and exceptional attention to detail

Computer proficiency in donor database software, MS Office Suite, ability to learn and use development software supporting events campaigns and appeals, and other computer applications
Computer software: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Donor software
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Moderate mental and visual attention required. May include significant use of a computer terminal for data entry.
Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
