As the Operations Manager, your role revolves around leading the operational aspects of the grain facility, ensuring smooth commercial operations. This entails leveraging your technical and managerial expertise to drive efficient elevator operations. Collaborating closely with location and regional operations managers is essential to maintain operational readiness, meet schedules. Your responsibilities span inventory management, cost control, logistics, mix & blend strategies, maintenance planning, talent development, energy efficiency, and asset protection.
- Oversee grain inventory management to meet company standards.
- Manage operational costs within budgets.
- Support the location manager in implementing facility enhancements.
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance activities to uphold safety and compliance standards.
- Foster talent development among operational staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure comprehensive training of operational staff on safety and operational protocols.
- Supervise onsite personnel, including contractors and service providers.
- Uphold compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Lead safety meetings and trainings
- Maintain open communication with regional leadership on facility matters.
- Bachelor's or Technical Degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or Safety (preferred).
- 3 years of leadership experience in grain elevator or terminal operations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Collaborative and adaptable team player.
