What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Worker position at Frankies World Foundation?
The Kitchen Worker at Frankie's World Medical Day Care Center should be fluent in food preparation, safety, and maintenance of the food preparation area. The position falls under the supervision of the nursing staff and must cooperate regarding the specific health needs of each child. His/her attire and grooming should be appropriate to food preparation.
Duties:
- Prepare children's meals.
- Be alert to individual children's food allergies.
- Be mindful of food expiration dates and minimize food waste.
- Label and date all foods brought from home as well as from the food service provider.
- Keep kitchen stocked and alert supervisors when supplies are low.
- Monitor temperatures of refrigerator and freezer for PA State health inspections.
- Keep all food surfaces, cookware and kitchen utensils clean.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Training from CBS Kosher Food Service (will be provided).
- Serve Safe Qualification (will be provided).
- Proof of vaccinations and State/Federal background checks for working with children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
