Title: Interventionist

Department: Student Academic Support

Responsibilities:

  • Provides one-on-one and small group academic support to students in middle and high school.
  • Utilizes knowledge of standardized testing (e.g., psychoeducational assessment reports, occupational, speech-language therapy reports) to assess student needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Develops individualized student support plans and goals based on observations, teacher feedback, parent information, testing results, and ongoing progress monitoring.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with educators and parents regarding student needs, intervention plans, and progress. May collaborate with outside professionals as needed.
  • Assists teachers in implementing intervention strategies to support student learning and academic progress.
  • Attends weekly department, grade-level, and/or all-school meetings to stay informed and contribute to collaborative planning and problem-solving.
  • Lead Academic Strategies Class to boost learning needs for struggling students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education,, Special Education, or related field
  • Previous experience in academic intervention, special education, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of standardized testing and assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, parents, and outside professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized student support plans.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Franklin Christian Academy.

Pay: $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
