Job Posting for Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA at Franklin Community Health Network
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- License/Certifications: Must be licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Current. BCLS required.
- Experience: Prior experience working in a hospital, nursing home or outpatient Physical Therapy Department is preferred.
- Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation and terminology requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other members of the healthcare team
- Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination
- Ability to respond the changing workload based on patient census and to direct, supervise and evaluate care in order to individualize therapy care provided to patients
- Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
- Proficient computer skills
Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant administers physical therapy treatments to patients, working under direction of and as assistant to Physical Therapist.
