Position Summary:
The Sales Administrator/Expeditor is responsible for creating long-term, profitable sales growth by providing timely, attentive, pleasant service to customers and ensuring their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on Franklin Industries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote and establish top safety awareness company-wide
Strong understanding of the company’s sales process
Utilizes a daily galvanizing and powder coating trucking report for the Sales Department to review and publish weekly to the Executive Committee
Keep current with Customer Relations module in Sage, Sage software, MS office products, and pdf documents
Explore and document customer needs and changing demands
Process Highway invoicing
Assist with competitive sealed bid opportunities and tracking of low bidders
Create, enter and follow up on CRM price quotes
Monitor and send out pricing for internet inquiries
Access Sage programs for customer and production needs
Create a sales prospecting log, make cold calls and provide a weekly call report
Prepare customer credit forms and backup information for Highway and Farm
Establish and maintain continuous improvement (2 Second Lean), problem solving (KATA technique), and Root Cause analysis
Maintain ISO 9001:2015 departmental standards
Be a general “back up” for Sales team
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Business Administration or Retail and Sales Management required
2 years of sales experience required
5 years of customer service/inside sales preferred
Professionalism, patience, and a “people first” attitude
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Works well independently and in a team environment
Self-motivated, fast learner; exceptional problem solving abilities
Efficient multi-tasker in fast-paced, changing environment
Experience with CRM and Sage software a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally stand or walk
Ability to lift items (occasionally more than 10 lbs.)
Various repetitive motions – keyboarding
Essential Job Functions:
Answer phones and redirect as appropriate
Develop current and new customer accounts
Build customer relationships and customer outreach
Provide LTL freight quotes to Sales Department
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer complaint, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
