CLINICAL INFORMATICS SPECIALIST TEAM LEAD

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to Information/ Systems Management or Technology with relevant experience working in a clinical setting or Clinical degree with relevant experience working with systems management or technology. At least 4 years of experience with electronic health records, medical software and healthcare related project management experience. Change management experience and/or Project management or process improvement experience, Established foundation using an EHR/EPM/EDR and related technologies, Quality, regulatory, and/or interoperability experience, Certification from a national informatics certifying body desirable. Relevant Epic system certification also preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF POSITION

The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) demonstrates a passion and enthusiasm for informatics and supporting Franklin Primary Health Center’s vision and strategic goals. The CIS oversees the EHR analyst and maintains an end user centric focus when contributing to the clinical information systems; design, analysis, testing, documentation, training, implementation, and support activities to enhance technology adoption and efficiencies. The CIS promotes the use of evidence-based clinical practice and workflow standardization across the system. The CIS collaborates with Information Technology (IT), and clinical operations in the development and revision of initiatives/programs related to data collection, clinical content, workflow analysis, and interpretation to assist in optimizing patient outcomes, effectiveness, and efficiency. The CIS will assess and support clinicians for maximization, efficient, and effective use of Epic and other clinical systems to facilitate the improvement of patient care, user satisfaction, clinical productivity, and quality outcomes. The CIS will work collaboratively on the training materials, assuming the role of content expert.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
