Position Summary:Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Senior Wealth Planner to join our NY office located at 280 Park Avenue in Midtown. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (partially remote).
Responsibilities:Develop and deliver financial plans for HNW and UHNW clients working with our relationship management teams throughout our regional markets with a focus on retirement or cash-flow planning and the ability to develop and deliver in-depth plans related to one or more of estate and trust planning, philanthropy, risk and insurance planning, liquidity event planning or family dynamics planning
In conjunction with development financial plans, serve as executive-level strategist identifying AUM growth opportunities, COI opportunities, client retention or business risks and communicating those items to market leaders, functional leadership and sales professionals, as appropriate
Provide ad hoc advice and guidance to clients and relationship management teams, as appropriate, on general financial planning and personal areas of expertise, involving other team members and experts as appropriate
Working with the Director of Estate and Financial Planning, lead and contribute to the development, improvement and implementation of financial planning tools and resources for other planners and client-facing professionals in general, including oversight and development of third-party service providers, business partner relationships (e.g., insurance brokers, banking, family consultants) and financial planning software and other technology
Develop and lead training for planners and client-facing professionals on financial planning topics, tools and resources
Serve as subject-matter expert on specific financial planning topics in connection with marketing efforts, including written client and COI communications, webinars, podcasts and other promotional events
Ongoing engagement in professional development and monitoring of industry developments relevant to financial planning with a focus on HNW and UHNW clients
10 years providing client-facing financial advice, preferably to HNW and UHNW clients
CFP required
CPWA, CPA, PFS, CLU, CEPA or other certification or advanced degree preferred
Focused expertise in one more areas of financial planning, such as tax planning, estate planning, liquidity event planning, insurance and risk planning, family dynamics or philanthropy
Dedication to continuing education on financial planning topics
Fluency in financial planning technology and fintech advancements relevant to financial planning
Strong writing and presentation skills for internal and external (client and professional) audiences
Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $150K - 175K per year.
