JOB DESCRIPTION:

ABOUT THE JOB:

Frank's Boot Company is the home of our Frank's handmade boot brand. We are a family owned and operated business. This role will have you performing vital operations in the factory as part of our production team.

You will be trained in processes for the manufacturing of our line of custom and handmade footwear – such as sewing, prep for our sewers, sanding and attaching hooks and eyes. It may also entail training in other areas, such as repair work, or breakdown of boots that need to be rebuilt or resoled, cleaning up your work area, etc. This role will report directly to our Production Manager.

We are seeking a focused and target driven person, who is prepared to be flexible and perform many of the steps required to achieve the highest standards of production in our Frank's Boot brand.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A passion for our product and the ability to operate a range of the machinery is required in making sure that you meet company standards
• Timely performance of production, completed to specified quality standards. We're all about quality over quantity!
• The ability to adjust for moving to positions where the need may be and able to perform the varied tasks to a consistent level
• A strong focus on safety in every aspect of factory work is essential with correct training and handling
• A direct approach to addressing all quality issues, production errors and equipment problems. We’ll need you to recognize and refer to your supervisor with any and all issues that occur, so that resources are not wasted
• It goes without saying that everyone at Frank's Boots is a team. Everyone is expected to take on other duties as needed.

To be one of our Footwear Production Operatives you will also possess these qualities:

• Previous experience in footwear production a plus, but not required
• Good eye for detail
• Professional approach to manufacturing and the risks involved in operating machinery
• Health & Safety awareness
• Focus on delivering to target and adapting to the needs of the production environment quickly
• Awareness of potential quality issues
• Natural team player with good communication skills
• Keen to learn more and more on the job about our product and how it can be made and improved

WAGES:

Based upon experience--Wages increase, as your experience increases. Slightly above industry average – with a salary that continues to grow with hard work.
