Job Tasks And Responsibilities
- Support Planner in building seasonal and annual merchandise targets by channel / division / category
- Develop division specific channel line targets for core and seasonal products that ladder up to merchandise goals by collaborating with Product and Planning teams
- Analyze opportunity within SKU count to balance the right mix of carryover and new products to create strong channel assortments that build storytelling opportunity throughout season
- Lead bringing product concepts to life across seasonal marketing moments throughout the organization with support from the Product team
- Identify opportunities in core color assortment to build volume drivers for the business
- Build and refine assortment planner, ensuring growth targets, product distortions, and delivery flows for each style by channel supports seasonal targets
- Leverage consumer, demand, and buy analytics to make decisions on assortment depth/ breath opportunities
- Partner with Product and Planning to present seasonal buy and assortment strategies to leadership, including ownership of lifecycle planning from creation through end of life
- Manage line planning “assortment planner” hand-off with Product & Planning in support of milestone meeting and purchase order due dates
- Work closely with Business Operations to ensure new and existing products are accurately represented in ERP through assortment attributes and data integrity
- Monitor return rates and communicate with the cross functional team key learnings and shifts
- Analyze and share business performance weekly, incorporating style reviews to understand trends, consumer response, and competitive landscape
- Work with Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Catalog to ensure an omni-channel approach to merchandising seasonal product stories and investment
- Test, analyze, and report on new product concepts
- Work with Product to identify emerging trends in the marketplace and translate to our target consumers
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
- 5 years of related experience
- Wholesale & specialty retail experience preferred
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Effective communicator in a highly collaborative environment
- Strong understanding and interest of industry trends
