What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Master position at Freedom Boat Club?
Freedom Boat Club, the nations oldest and largest Boat Club, seeks a qualified dockmaster for our Sebastian area location. Work in a beautiful marina setting assisting our members on the boating outings. Ensure our members receive efficient and safe embarkation and debarkation proceedures. Coordinate and schedule the arrival and departure of our vessels paying unwavering attention to the weather, (Captain) Member preparedness and proper weight load. Clean, fuel and dock the vessels within the companies standards.
Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and management to ensure smooth operations.
Previous experience working in a similar role as a Dock Master or in marine operations is preferred. Some experience handling small single engine power boats is required. Basic mechanical apptitude and knowledge is preferred to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate activities with members and other stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure. Ability to work in the outside under inclement weather conditions mainly subtropical heat is required. High school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
