What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drug and Alcohol Counselor position at Freedom Healthcare Services?
Counselor: 5 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Position Summary: The Counselor will provide quality clinical services that include individual, group and family counseling. They will maintain high quality and timely documentation of all services with records that are complete, comprehensive, well- organized and reflect therapeutic intervention. Participate in making key decisions regarding patient care, program development and serve as a collaborative and effective team member. Abide by and protect HIPAA and Confidentiality Regulations according to DDAP.
The right candidate will have experience treating individuals with Substance Use Disorders, be familiar with medication assisted treatment and may be in recovery. Firm ethical standards, strong communication skills, solid computer skills and organizational skills are a must.
About us: Freedom Healthcare Services is an outpatient treatment provider that provides individual, group, and family counseling along with MAT to provide treatment to individuals suffering from Substance Use Disorders. F.H.S. believes that successful treatment must be individualized, our treatment team works with patients to customize a recovery process based on specific medical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient. Counselors work with patients to provide them with the skills and tools necessary to work towards and achieve a drug free lifestyle.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree (required), two years clinical experience treating individuals with substance use disorders
· Master’s degree (preferred), two years clinical experience treating individuals with substance use disorders
· LPC, LCSW (preferred), one-year clinical experience treating individuals with substance use disorders
