Job Scorecard – Car Wash Attendant/Customer Service Associate
Job Purpose
The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and functionality of Freedom Wash. They focus on customer service, assisting our customers as needed, & may also assist the operations team with necessary R&M.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers. Assist customers with any and all issues, and proactively interact with customers to create a friendly and positive experience.
- Drive & retain sales. This includes (1) the sale of our monthly ‘unlimited club’ packages, and (2) the upselling of our single wash packages (to higher quality washes), along with other offers, each paying weekly cash commission
- Ensures the highest standards for cleanliness are met. Each site must be maintained to a certain standard, and when audited, the location must achieve a satisfactory rating.
- Tests all equipment for functionality and creates “Work Orders” for anything not functioning properly.
- Complete Minor repairs and assist in major repairs at each location. This includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (No prior experience required)
- Maintain adequate chemical levels at your location and inventory the chemical levels on a regular basis.
- Maintain adequate vending inventory at your location. This includes stocking vending machines, and assisting the inventory manager as required.
- Complete Planned Maintenance (PM’s) as required by location.
- Specific Measures of Success *
- Customer Surveys/Reports: Achieve and maintain consistent positive customer reviews. Utilize survey cards to gain feedback from customers.
- Audit Scores (Cleanliness): Achieve and maintain at least an 80% score for audit measures relating to the cleanliness indoors and outdoors.
- Chemical Levels: Ensure Chemical levels never fall below 10% for each chemical. Ensure chemicals are promptly delivered to the necessary sites and are put online. Consolidate chemicals when necessary.
- Work Orders and Reporting: Ensure all issues at the site are reported and entered into our maintenance software. It is not satisfactory to leave an issue unnoticed (ie. Chemical consumption increased 400%, a carwash bay is not accepting cash, etc.)
- Planned Maintenance & Performance Reviews: Ensure all assigned planned maintenance is completed in a timely manner. When reviewed, a score no lower than 80% must be maintained. Freedom Wash is a fully automated self-service car wash, making the job of Lot Attendant much more engaging than that of other car washes. The Attendants here are responsible for the cosmetic upkeep of the lot as well as the car wash itself. While maintaining the property. attendants may find themselves assisting customers with questions, or performing basic maintenance on equipment.
However, Lot Attendants may also focus on sales! This aspect of the job involves assisting customers with the purchase of car wash memberships, which will earn you commission based on the price and quantity of what's sold
All training necessary is on the job, with no experience needed to begin. Nonetheless, if you are mechanically inclined, or have experience with sales, that is also very helpful!
