Avionics Integrator

SUMMARY:

In this role the Avionics Integrator will design aftermarket avionics systems integrations. The Avionics Integrator will be an integral part of a team, working closely with other design disciplines, customers, subcontractors, and Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) to ensure design requirements are fully defined and airworthiness compliance can be achieved.

The Avionics Integrator will participate in FAA / Foreign CAA STC certification, and aircraft return to service. Including the Avionics Integrator will complete technical reviews of other design disciplines documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Systems Wiring Diagrams
• Wire Routing Drawings
• Electrical Load Analysis/ Electrical Load Change Report
• System Functional Check Test Plans/Reports
• EMC/EMI Test Plans and Reports
• Assist with System Safety Assessment/ Functional Hazard Assessment
• Assist with FAA/CAA Airworthiness Documents: ICAs, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years of aircraft systems integration and/or avionics installation experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with one year of directly related experience
• Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 Aircraft Certification Requirements. Experience with 14 CFR Part 23, 25, 27, or 29 aircraft certification
• Basic skills using a Computer Aided Design solutions such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, SOLIDWORKS. Proficiency is expected within 3 months of hire.

The applicant must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently.  Qualified candidates should be able to speak effectively to customers about company products and how they perform. The applicant must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

TRAVEL

Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally less than 10%

• Candidates must have a strong command of computer desktop tools such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to assist in completing essential duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the person is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.  The person must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the person is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office.  The noise level is occasionally high.
