- High School DiplomaEducational Facilities Manager CertificationValid NJ Driver's LicenseKnowledge of Buildings and Grounds operationSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent in consultation with the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports to:
Superintendent or appropriate Assistant Superintendent
Performance Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Provides direct coordination with Central Administration and all Principals relative to the overall operation of the Buildings and Grounds Department. Coordinates responsibilities and assignments of the other Supervisors of Buildings and Grounds to maintain the physical facilities.Coordinates with other Supervisors of Buildings and Grounds in the development of future budgets and the update of the five-year plan. Properly administers the current budget to ensure proper and efficient disbursements and avoids over expenditures.Oversees all department personnel with regards to hiring and job assignments, record keeping for attendance and evaluations and contractual grievances. Provides direct supervision regarding disciplinary action of departmental employees and remains the departmental contact regarding sexual harassment and job discrimination.Provides direct supervision for the secretarial and courier staffs to include but not limited to training employees regarding related job safety, proper equipment operation and evaluating employees regarding job performance.Maintains the necessary documentation regarding the security at all the facilities.Oversees the delivery, inventory and disbursement of departmental supplies and that a clean and safe environment in the designated warehouse and storage areas is maintained.Coordinates schedules, priority assignments, documentation for inspections, and planned work with the other Supervisors of Buildings and Grounds.Perform any such task as may from time to time be assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
