Department Overview
Card Services
Department manages all FB Debit Cards processing, Debit Card Parameters for
Debit Cards, ATM Machines, Business Credit Card Legacy Platform (TIB), Fiserv
EFT Card Processing, Rewards Platform, Mastercard relationship and Risk
Management.
Position Overview
The Intern is
responsible for timely and accurate execution of all functions as they relate
to processing of debit/credit cards and ATM driving.
Role and Responsibilities
- New card
processing and card maintenance
- Review daily reports for accuracy
of customer and product information and perform quality checks on debit
card portfolio
- Assist with posting, reconcilement
and research exception transactions associated with account adjustments
and ATM cash vault balancing
- Assist with auxiliary
products/services inquiries from the branches and Call Center- Digital
Wallets, Card Valet, text alerts etc.
- Work directly with Fremont Bank
Fraud Team to minimize and mitigate potential losses
- Provide backup assistance in
understaffed situations and work with the team to ensure all departmental
duties and goals are met.
- Comply with applicable federal,
state, local, government regulations and adhere to the debit/credit card
brand guidelines
- Recommend change to improve
processes and resolve recurring variances
- Assist on
various projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Prefer someone studying in Business Administration, concentration
in accounting, management or computer science
- Must possess strong
problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Solid written and verbal/telephone communication skills
- Ability to work independently,
efficiently and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt
to change
- Strong team player who is
flexible to change and uses critical thinking skills to contribute to
changes in departmental goals
Eligibility and
Requirements
Only individuals
possessing outstanding character, a high degree of motivation, and the willingness
to learn will be selected.
To be considered,
students must meet the following qualifications:
- Candidate should be taking upper division courses (junior or senior year)
- Candidate should express interest in working in a related field that supports financial services, after graduation
- Candidate should be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Candidate must be returning to their campus following the program
- Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace
- Have excellent customer services/client focus, teamwork, and collaboration
- Ability to write and communicate effectively and have solid attention to details
- Experience in administrative/office support and phone skills
- Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Offices including Word, Excel (pivot tables, charts); PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
- Experience in research, analysis and statistical data are a plus
