LEVEL 3 – HEAD POSITION
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
Lifeguard Management certification preferred
Certified Lifeguard – min. two years experience preferred
Certified Water Safety Instructor – min. two years experience preferred
Fully trained in the performance responsibilities of all Entry Level positions - Lifeguard / Water Safety Instructor / Desk Clerk / Relief Custodian
Must demonstrate leadership and ability to motivate and supervise employees

Reports to: Aquatic Center Director and/or Pool Operator
Supervises: Entry and Intermediate Level staff or as assigned by the Aquatic Center
Director
Job Goal: To assist Aquatic Center Director in providing a professional, safe, yet
fun, recreational environment for staff and the community to work, play and learn.
Performance Responsibilities:
Assist Aquatic Center Director in providing students, staff and community patrons with a safe, clean and friendly recreational environment.
Supervise and provide leadership for Level 2 Intermediate and Level 1 Entry Staff.
Primary duties include preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies by monitoring the facility, staff and patrons and enforcing pool policies and procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist in interviewing, employment, training, and evaluation of Intermediate and Entry Level staff.
Assists Aquatic Center Director in developing, instructing and evaluating the various aquatic programs offered.
Ensures all required reports, records, and checks are completed, accurate and kept up-to-date.
Communicate with Aquatic Center Director regarding any concerns or with need to request maintenance or repair work to the facility.
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
