PART-TIME PET MEMORIAL CONSULTANT I

Description

The Pet Memorial Consultant I is primarily responsible for driving to local vet clinics to assist with families who are utilizing Best Friends' services through a wholesale relationship, maintaining good relationships with vet clinics, and transferring pets from various locations and cremating memorials and keepsakes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide outstanding customer service to our families, vet clinics and vendors
• Create memorials and keepsakes for families (paw prints, fur clippings, sand blasting, etc....)
• Demonstrate safety and courtesy while driving company vehicles
• Able to handle and work with deceased pets
• Accurately complete and record all required paperwork and/or computer data entry
• Maintaining complete chain of custody record for animals or cremated remains during the transfer process
• Effectively manage multiple tasks and fluctuating demands
• Maintain general cleanliness of desk, work areas and vehicles
• Accommodate extensive lifting
• General care and maintenance of the vehicles
• Respectful handling, processing, or service of any remains
• Follow company's moral, ethical and legal guidelines in all aspects of the role

Requirements

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a public environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Able to lift 70 pounds independently or by use of company equipment and devices
• Able to work outdoors and drive in inclement weather and hours of darkness
• Able to bend and lift extensively each day

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM

• High School diploma or GED
• Some college or technical education desired
• Demonstrable customer service experience

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• One or two years of customer service experience
