Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for a Financial Controller/Office Manager in our Rio Rico, AZ office. Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for supervising the accounting team, comprised of 8 direct reports. This group is responsible for the timely preparation, accurate recording, and direct reporting of Inventory disposition, Sales, and distribution statements to Growers as well as providing compliance to all peripheral regulations within our industry dictated by third-party providers, State and Federal regulatory agencies, etc. This position includes all those tasks generally associated with a Financial Controller's function regarding financial information reporting, statement preparations, reconciliations, internal controls, and disclosures to partner owners. The departments under this position’s supervision include Accounts payable, Sales invoicing and Accounts Receivable, Grower and Farm accounting, Cost accounting, Treasury Management, Payroll, Inventory monitoring, Banking and its associated reconciliation and cash flow planning functions.
This position will assist in the month-end activities of this vertically integrated company. This position is onsite and based in our main office in Rio Rico, AZ. Some of the activities in this role might include:
Qualifications:
• 10 years of accounting and/or managerial experience.
• State and Federal Income Tax Compliance
• Knowledge and experience with agriculture and grower accounting is a plus.
• Possess proficiency with ERP software, preferably Famous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, reporting, and 10-key.
• Strong ability to analyze and think strategically.
• Detail-oriented, specifically with respect to data and records-keeping activities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) experience preferred but not required
• Ability to meet targets and deadlines
