Security Guard - Full Time

We invite you to be part of our exciting team and rapidly growing business. The Fresh Mark facility in Canton, Ohio, is currently accepting applications for Security Guard for 2nd or 3rd shift.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, detail-oriented and drug-free. Fresh Mark provides an excellent work environment and comprehensive benefits including medical, vision and 401K.   

Key Accountabilities:   

• Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.   
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.   
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises. 
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.   
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.   
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and notify appropriate members of management.  
• Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas.   
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.   
• Authorize and check in trucks. Also, check trucks leaving premises.   

Requirements:    

• Availability to work any shift. However, we are hiring for 2nd or 3rd shift  
• Must be able to work assigned weekends and holidays  
• Must have a valid drivers license 
• Must be trustworthy and pass background check.   
• Good communication skills.   
• Follow proper procedure.   
• Works well with team.  
•  High School graduate or equivalent
