Summary:
Under the direction, of the Training & Development Supervisor, The Training and Development Coordinator will perform training and admin duties. Primary purpose of this position is to provide employees the necessary training to perform their jobs correctly, to also enable employees to produce products that are manufactured, packaged, labeled, and held under conditions that minimize the risk of adulteration/contamination, and that will ensure compliance with established regulations and specifications.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of training media in both languages (English and Spanish).
- Coordinate, schedule and help to perform the training of new hires, refresher training of existing employees, hands on training on specific task of new hires and hands on re-training for underperforming employees.
- Responsible for delivering adequate training material/quizzes to groups between 5 to 50 employees via Alchemy, PowerPoint Presentations, or hands on Demonstrations in both languages (English and Spanish).
- Responsible for making sure all employees are trained in food safety policies and regulations, employee safety topics and on equipment aligned with their position, for example, machines, Urschel’s, Hobart mixers, knives, kettles, vacuum seals, portioning tools, metal detectors, etc.
- Responsible for making sure that company GMP’s, Allergens, Food Safety/Security and employee safety policies are following while employees are in the training process and thereafter.
- Responsible for ensuring employees are trained until they become qualified to work with minimal supervision.
- Communicate with the HR Recruiters for all incoming new hires information and register new hires on Alchemy.
- Collect training sign in sheets and quizzes, Grade quizzes, download and review Alchemy training scores.
- Communicates with Training & Development Supervisor regarding the employees’ progress (training attendance, achieved scores, courses to re-take, etc.).
- Must communicate start dates of new hires to the Training and Development supervisor, HR Department, their respective department supervisor, and floor trainer to ensure on the job training starts as soon as the new hire starts.
- Works closely with floor trainers, supervisors and leads to follow up on employee progress to identify if there is a need for refresh training, if there are any changes on the floor such as changes on company policies, sops, procedures to ensure the accurate training guides, checklists, and SOP’s.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using Alchemy observations and other media.
- Update training files, training Document Register and Training Matrix to ensure document control and traceability is maintained.
- Cover Training and Development Supervisors when absent.
All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety.

Supervisor Responsibility:

Work Environment:
While performing the Trainer Coordinator duties, the employee will work in a warehouse cold environment refrigerator temperature (35 - 40 degrees F) and hot warehouse/kitchen environment (up to 120 degrees F).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee will work in a distribution center environment with moderate to loud noise level. Required to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs and push or pull 100(-/ ) pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard days and schedules are usually Sunday-Saturday and hours are subject to change depending on Company needs.
