Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Ensure that all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before reuse
- Sort and organize clean dishes and utensils for easy access by kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down countertops, and emptying trash bins
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient operation
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, catering, or hotel setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
