The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced technical professional with Industry experience to grow our Product
Management team as a Category Manager. Benefits include hybrid work schedule based in Greenville SC, competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k matching,
Essential Job Functions:
The Product Category Manager will contribute efforts towards improving the
overall profit margin of an assigned sub-set of products. Key responsibilities
include working with supporting departments to drive sales, control costs,
manage inventory levels, and make strategic decisions all assigned products.
- Understand the Product Category assigned including surrounding
- Maintain the integrity of category data for accurate reporting
- Engage weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales data to inform inventory
- Interact with manufacturing and vendor representatives to identify
- Work with manager to develop and maintain annual business plans per
- Assist vendors with the development of go-to-market strategy for specific
- Understand the vision, growth strategy and yearly distribution plan for
- Point of contact with Sales team regarding directives within assigned
- Point of contact with Product Support Specialists and Purchasing
current year for assigned categories
- Initiate and maintain all resources pertaining to the progress tracking of an
visibility
- Analyze all reports and data pertaining to sales and purchases to provide

Education and Experience:
- BA or BS in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or
- 5 years of experience in Product Management, Vendor Relations,
- Water Industry experience highly preferred

Works in an office setting. The ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, handheld devices, copy machine, and computer printer, and operate and monitor various equipment. Must be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.
No heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
