We have an opening for a Junior Superintendent to join our team. The primary goal of this role is to boost operational efficiency by working with production teams, optimizing ERP data processes, and delivering targeted training to enhance paperwork organization, shared space management, machine operations, and line efficiency.
Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 230 employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years.
Duties:
- You will have no direct reports, but will be regularly expected to fill in for the Superintendent when they are not present
- The general goals of this position will be to ensure that:
- Interact with Production Foreman to help with schedule challenges and efficiencies
- Data entered into S/Os is as accurate as possible
- Data entry, for the majority of jobs, should be transactional
- Data entry clerks develop, or have access to, tools and skills that identify errors or problems with jobs and have methods of resolving identified issues
- Predicted data from the ERP is congruent with the actual expectations on the shop floor
- This will involve:
- Updating routings in ERP (time)
- Updating BOMs in ERP (materials)
- This will involve:
- Daily schedule review
- General troubleshooting and efficiency guidance for other team members such as Foreman and Machine Operators
- Work with management personnel to boost plant efficiency when needed
- Opportunity for increased responsibilities that further the success of the team
- Will be expected to work in any department where the need is greatest for line workers
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of the business supply chain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extremely proficient with production planning systems and software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Shifts:
- Nights: 3:00pm-12:00am OR 7:00pm-4:00am Mon - Fri (off hours as needed)
