Injection Molding Technician II
Responsibilities
- Proficiently and safely perform machine start-up, shut-down, color changes, and any other necessary processing changes to ensure that the machines are running at the proper efficiency and that the product is in conforming.
- Proficiently and safely perform mold PM’s per procedures. Safely monitor and repair all auxiliary equipment.
- Work with the maintenance department to identify any problems with machines and/or equipment.
- Document and verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct, find root cause if not correct.
- Document performance of machines and any adjustments made.
- Work with the QA department to prevent any nonconforming product.
- Follow all Safety and cGMP practices.
- Adherence to all quality policy and procedures including ISO 13485
- Safely maintain machine cleanliness, and perform mold, machine and equipment repairs as needed.
- Capable of safely completing mold changes and machine repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Scientific Molding or related course work.
- 5-7 years of experience performing similar molding responsibilities preferred.
- LSR/Medical Molding Experience preferred.
- Knowledge of process troubleshooting using scientific molding methods.
- Knowledge of injection molding machinery, control systems (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically word and excel.
- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- Self-directed with teamwork and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively (written & spoken) as required for job related communication throughout the organization.
- Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week if necessary. flexible to work different shifts as needed.
