Media Producer

lJob Purpose

Serve the church by producing, directing, filming, editing, and delivering creative content segments that focus on stories of life-change that support the vision of the message and mission statement of Friends Church that will support increased viewership and elevate brand awareness.

Essential Functions

● Along with Senior Media Producer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, filming, directing, production, editing, and delivery of story videos, as well as creative media projects.

● Lead a production team (paid contractors, interns, and volunteers) on creative film projects.

● Participate in a production team on creative film projects led by other staff team members as needed.

● Contribute and collaborate creative ideas for weekly creative content that attracts our target audience (30-44 demographic) and reinforces our Friends Church brand.

● Collaborate with the MarCom Team to plan and create on-going promotional content (i.e. music video teasers, social media clips, etc.) that increases weekly viewership (video views) and audience engagement (website visitors, lead generation).

● Collaborate with the Weekend Team to plan and create media content for Friends Church in-person weekend services.

● Assist in other video-related projects as needed.

● Continue to develop as a leader and film producer.

Additional Functions

· Keep current in related field.

· Attend and participate in all staff Friends Church staff meetings including C2, events, programs, and training.

· Cooperate with supervision by performing appropriate related duties when assigned or instructed.

Experience, Education and Licensure: bachelor’s degree preferred; with minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a project manager, producer, or a role that coordinates both people and tasks. You have experience with film (on or off camera), photography, or journalism. You have experience managing a project budget.

SPIRITUAL: Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and must have a heart for ministry. Must hold to the Statement of Faith, Position Statements, Mission Statement, and Core Values and Ministry Values of Yorba Linda Friends Church. Those that serve God on the staff at Friends Church are expected to set a high standard of personal conduct and lifestyle. It is required that all staff members are active attendees of Friends Church and life groups.

Knowledge and Skills

SKILLS: Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suites, and Adobe Creative Cloud of products including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Media Encoder. Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, and mathematical skills. Must be a self-starter. Must be confidential, flexible, accurate and have good follow-up skills.

ABILITY: Ability to understand, teach and live out Biblical truths. Ability to comprehend written and oral information and to express written and oral information with clarity. Ability to identify problems, exhibit both inductive and mathematical reasoning. Ability to travel. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as requested.
