GUARDIANSHIP CARE MANAGER
Friends for Life in Waco, Texas is seeking a service-minded, committed, and professional team player to provide compassionate service to support the highest level, quality of life for elderly and persons with disabilities.
Initial Education and Experience Requirements:
To be eligible for consideration the applicant :
1. Be at least 21 years of age;
2. Be a high school graduate or possess the GED equivalent
3. Meet ONE of these additional qualifications:
a. Have two years of relevant work experience related to guardianship.
b. Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree conferred by a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in a field related to guardianship.
c. Have completed a course curriculum or training specifically related to guardianship approved by the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission.
Salary
Starting average annual salary is flexible and based on experience and education, ranging between $31,000 and $34,000. Opportunities for salary increase will be determined as skills develop in guardianship knowledge, certification and experience.

Skills Required

· Prepare reports and other paperwork; to write concisely; and to communicate effectively
Core Responsibilities of the Position:
· Arrange medical and mental health care, educational training, rehabilitative and social services
· Maintain regular monthly face-to-face contact with clients on assigned caseload
· Document client related activity in caseload in the guardianship database system
· Assist in the management of the financial affairs of clients as assigned

Additional Eligibility Criteria for Initial and Ongoing Employment:
· Clear state and federal criminal background checks.
· Pass a certification exam and obtain Texas Guardian Certification within two years.
· Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
· Have a reliable vehicle available to you at all times.
· Be willing to travel for work within service area at least 50% of work time.
