What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development position at Friends of Youth?
Do you have a burning desire to give back and help your community? You may be the right person for the Director of Development at Friends of Youth. Looking for a leader to develop and implement the Friends of Youth’s comprehensive strategy to philanthropy. In this role, the Director of Development will work with the President & CEO, the Board of Directors and agency Program Directors to develop fundraising strategies including annual campaigns, major gifts, planned-giving, and endowment efforts, that support key programs.

We require:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human-service or business-related field. In place of a degree, minimum of 10 years of relevant experience can be substituted.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully managing major gifts, donor relationships/stewardship, corporate partnerships and sponsorships, and fund development.
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and systemic anti-racism, as it relates to Development and the strategic vision of an organization.
- Experience utilizing donor databases and online fundraising tools. Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required. There are no exemptions.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of employment) with a safe driving record and auto insurance.
