Lead Millwright / Heavy Rigger

Position Overview: I am seeking a highly skilled Lead Millwright and Rigger with experience in setting up, moving, and maintaining conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy rigging and be capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and has a strong mechanical knowledge of conveyors and other machinery. Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of millwrights and riggers in the installation, relocation, and maintenance of conveyor systems and other machinery.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to conveyors, motors, drives, and related equipment.
• Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in millwright and rigging techniques.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Lead Millwright and Rigger in an industrial setting, preferably with expertise in conveyor systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components related to conveyors.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
