Schedule: 30 hours/week

Job Summary:
Under the limited supervision of the Neurodiagnostic (ND) Tech Educator or delegated team member, prepares patients for a combination of routine Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), long-term and intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, autonomic testing, Neuro Interventional radiology WADA and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory, at the bedside, and in critical care units, on all ages of patients served by the department. Additional duties but not limited to charge capture, scheduling patients and other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other sites to ensure optimal department operations.

Tech II: Proficient in EEG/LTM/EMU and meet competencies; ALSO needs to know another modality either example: DBS &ECOG, EMG, Autonomics and TST, MEG, or EP

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred. Ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG), in addition to 1 or more of the following Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High school graduate or equivalent is required. 2 years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician is preferred and/or a proven ability to perform Electroencephalography, in addition to 1 or more of the following: Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing, Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography, or be a graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalography E Evoked Potentials (ABRET)

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

It is preferred to be registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) in a minimum of 1 of the following: Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (EEG), Registered Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing(EMG/NCV), Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP), Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM), Registered Evoked Potential Technologist American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Our Neurodiagnostic team are cross trained in multiple modalities to best support the department and help us remain at the forefront of innovative care.
