What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer I position at Froedtert South?
Under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and the Occupational Medicine Physician, the Industrial Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will evaluate the industrial patient and formulate an individualized treatment program as directed by the Kenosha Occupational Medicine (KOMC) physician's prescription. The ATC is responsible for assisting the physician with pre-employment screenings, Health Dynamics, Industrial Wellness and preventative programs. The ATC performs other related duties as needed, including employee and public education, new program development and administrative duties as necessary in the routine of the work place.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Fitness, Physical Therapy, or related Experience Required: 3 months to 1 year Certification/Licensure Required: Current certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association and licensure to be eligible to practice as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the State of Wisconsin. Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire. Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer or similar field experience.Shift:
