Job Summary:
The Coordinator Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for guiding staff through the day-to-day operations in Food & Nutrition Services. This role coordinates staff and services related to In-Room Dining service, catering and retail dining. Inspects and assures correct safety and sanitation procedures are being followed in food preparation, assembly and service, meal delivery and warewashing. Will prepare and process food and supply orders, check, review and code invoices. Prepares Excel and POS reports; Prepares staff schedule under the supervision of the Leader; Conducts orientation, training and staff coaching for department staff. Maintains and provides guidance to staff on regulations, policies and procedures; escalating issues to management as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Previous experience in Food Services and proven customer service skills are required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree in communication, business or food service management preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and desire to provide customer service. Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Needs working knowledge of computers, printers, telephone and calculator. Operating knowledge of quantity cooking equipment such as meat slicer, cooking range, dispensing equipment, cash register, coffee machines, ovens and dishwashers is preferred. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Serve/Safe Certification program preferred within one year of employment.
