Overview
As a UX Designer, you will help define and drive the future of Frontdoor’s many brands' customer experience. You will help to identify and set UX strategy informed by a blend of Product/Business requirements, user research, and UX best practices. You will help to unify user experiences across a complex ecosystem of applications. Starting from a vision document or set of user stories, you're able to apply research and design thinking to bring new features and products to market as well as drive innovation in our legacyapplications.
User experience is at the forefront of how we create useful, intuitive, and beautiful digital products that drive great customer experiences and help us to meet our business goals. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to help inform both product strategy and our design solutions. You would be joining our UX team which includes interaction designers, UX designers, and UX researchers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities. A key tenet of Frontdoor’s philosophy is “Obsess over our customer's problems,” and the UX team embodies this tenet to its fullest on every project.
Responsibilities
Apply user-centered design principles while designing end-to-end user experiences.
Design both UX workflows and beautiful UI solutions that drive thoughtfully branded and easy-to-use web and mobile web applications.
Drive a design thinking approach to product design; iterating constantly while using empathy to understand the customer journey.
Collaborate with Product Management, Market, and Engineering teams to define problems that lead to elegant UX solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to explain and document design solutions in detail.
Take ownership of the user experience for multiple applications from discovery to delivery, including wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user validation.
Run user tests to validate and iterate during the design cycle.
Work in an agile environment to quickly iterate and define design solutions.
Work directly with our American Home Shield Product and Marketing teams
Work iteratively with Product Management and UX Research
Own the UX for the American Home Shield sales funnel and drive improvements to sales conversion.
Qualifications
Experience working iteratively and collaborating with A/B test programs.
Experience working across organizational boundaries to define a collaborative and innovative approach.
Demonstrate ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Ability and passion in understanding distinct user groups quickly and iterating solutions to meet their needs.
