Frontier Co-op is seeking an intermediate to experienced level, IT Systems Administrator, to join our IT Team in our Norway, Iowa location which is just 15 minutes south of Cedar Rapids near Fairfax. SUMMARY
This role will provide IT systems administration and support to ensure the stability, reliability, security and performance of all systems that support our core IT on-premise and cloud infrastructure and services.
The IT Systems Administrator is part of a team that serves as the first point of contact within the company’s service desk and up to prompt and professional resolution of incidents and requests in a fast-paced, highly multi-tasked application rich enterprise environment that includes cloud app administration, ERP support and administration, network, infrastructure and end user support of about 700 users and four locations.
Through training, self-directed learning, experience and observation, you will help transform our IT helpdesk into an ITIL/FitSM service desk that adheres to policy, change control, and industry standard best practices. Documentation and education of peers are also important aspects of building an organization where continuous citizen development is a priority.
This role is instrumental in working with all areas of IT, especially our ERP team in supporting its platform with our users. The IT Systems Administrator will serve as backup to our network infrastructure and security team and our Business Intelligence platform and related services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as end point of contact to respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat or email and log all interactions into service desk.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.) in Computer Science or related field from two-year college or university; and five years of working experience with two years of experience in networking concepts; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions where a certain degree of tact and discretion is needed.
