Frontier Co-op is seeking an intermediate to experienced level, IT Systems Administrator, to join our IT Team in our Norway, Iowa location which is just 15 minutes south of Cedar Rapids near Fairfax. SUMMARY
This role will provide IT systems administration and support to ensure the stability, reliability, security and performance of all systems that support our core IT on-premise and cloud infrastructure and services.
The IT Systems Administrator is part of a team that serves as the first point of contact within the company’s service desk and up to prompt and professional resolution of incidents and requests in a fast-paced, highly multi-tasked application rich enterprise environment that includes cloud app administration, ERP support and administration, network, infrastructure and end user support of about 700 users and four locations.
Through training, self-directed learning, experience and observation, you will help transform our IT helpdesk into an ITIL/FitSM service desk that adheres to policy, change control, and industry standard best practices. Documentation and education of peers are also important aspects of building an organization where continuous citizen development is a priority.
This role is instrumental in working with all areas of IT, especially our ERP team in supporting its platform with our users. The IT Systems Administrator will serve as backup to our network infrastructure and security team and our Business Intelligence platform and related services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as end point of contact to respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat or email and log all interactions into service desk.
- Serve on a team that provides tier one through tier three support for requests for IT related assistance in person, via phone, chat or email and log all interactions into service desk software
- Provide escalated (Tier 2 and 3) support to other IT team members, escalated tickets, emergencies and external support requests
- Administer, maintain and support multiple aspects of our cloud-based Infor ERP platform (Infor products)
- Hands on network and infrastructure design, configuration and support
- Administration, design and configuration of m365 cloud products backend
- MDM configuration, management and deployment (Intune, ABM, Mobicontrol) of Hardware, OS and Software
- Virtualization Management (On-Premise and Cloud)
- Develop and document procedures for commission/decommission of laptops/desktops/servers, user and service accounts, mailboxes, application access and permissions in our cloud / on-premise hybrid environment
- Hardware/Software procurement, vendor management and adherence to RFP processes
- Management, monitoring and configuration of our enterprise security suite
- Develop, optimize and refine production floor IT technology to ensure high availability of systems, creating efficiencies in process and identifying and implementing technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve network communication, hardware, software, and connectivity issues for users
- Respond to after hour emergencies in prompt and responsible manner
- Participate in the On-call rotation
- Other duties may be assigned
- Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical
- Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training
- Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.) in Computer Science or related field from two-year college or university; and five years of working experience with two years of experience in networking concepts; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Effective telephone and messaging skills to ascertain customer concerns, consider alternatives and provide customers guidance to solve their questions or issues
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 cloud applications and windows based application software
- Experience with MDM methodology of deployment, management and configuration
- Strong experience with Windows OS, Mac OS, Windows Server, Networking, Wireless technology is required
- Experience with Corporate IT SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, OneDrive and SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Slack, etc.
- Experience with ERP systems and/or production floor IT a plus
- Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly extremely preferable
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage a constantly changing workload
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills, including solid presentation skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions where a certain degree of tact and discretion is needed.
QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume
- Ability to use such concepts in practical situations
- Ability to use a computer to create spreadsheets and charts and run reports
HIGHLY DESIRED OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency with Windows, specifically Windows 10 , Server 2012 , Azure Active Directory, Exchange 2013 and Exchange Online
- Proficiency with modern Windows OS, Windows Server/Domain concepts
- Certifications are a Plus (A , MCP, MCDST, CCNA, ITIL, PMI, etc)
- Experience with creating and deploying desktop images and the setup of new computers using Intune, Systems Center or similar
- Business Intelligence tools (SQL, PowerBI, etc)
- M365 technologies (Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc)
- ERP knowledge (especially Infor products)
- Experience with MDM
- Experience utilizing remote IT support tools
- Professional experience supporting desktop hardware, software and/or networks in a centrally managed enterprise environment
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work within team concept
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work overtime when required and travel occasionally
