JOB TITLE Quality Improvement Director for PD1 Services
SUMMARY:
Provides overall management and implementation of quality within all programs within the PD1
division. Oversees the development of all quality and risk related activities within the division
and works with the divisional and corporate structure to develop improvements in process and
reduce risk.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mental health related field preferred.
Licensure: Must possess or obtain highest level of licensure applicable to degree.
Certification: Must possess or obtain highest level of certification applicable to degree.
Experience: Experience in quality or behavioral health preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
Verbal/written communication skills.
Proficient at Excel and Word.
EQUIPMENT:
Computer, fax, copier and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise daily operations of the incident management system. Makes decisions and
established procedures as needed to ensure the quality and efficiency of daily function of the
system.
2. Represents the system at administrative meetings and regional meetings. Relays pertinent
information from regional meetings back to division management.
3. Submits regular reports concerning the operations of the system.
4. Implements Protection from Harm Protocol.
5. Coordinates incident management system with other division monitoring systems, i.e. quality
assessment plan, outcomes and supervision plan.
6. Coordinates investigative functions of division.
7. Assures ongoing development, implementation, and successful operation of program services
in compliance with applicable CARF, state licensure, health and safety, and other agency
policies and procedures and performance contracts.
8. Remains current in knowledge of community agencies and resources, bother internally and
externally, and how to access resources in order to provide information, referrals and a
seamless separation of care for individuals served by the program.
9. Keeps the respective Senior Director apprised of both potential problem areas and
outstanding performance.
10. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and inservices and individual
program planning staffings as needed.
11. Develop and maintain tracking methods related to national, state or local quality measures.
Assist with compliance plans related to improving performance on measures.
12. All other duties as assigned.
