What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Clerk position at FruitSmart Inc?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will support the finance department in accomplishing required tasks and responsibilities in all areas including but not limited to, computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform a combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financials and maintaining accounting records. Check for accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete final review and billing of sales orders with invoice distribution per customer requirements.
- Ensure all orders are properly coded, files are complete and customer ledger entries are up to date.
- Communicating with clients in regard to past due invoices, i.e. collections
- Performing clerical/administrative functions including greeting visitors, answering phones, data entry, typing, scanning file maintenance, and document preparation
- Support administration staff, sales, and operations departments when needed.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to solve customer issues and/or problems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma and/or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Accounting experience a plus but not required
